Gretchen is a fun, positive and energetic teacher. Her classes reflect her pure dance background. Gretchen studied at Dance of Iowa and assisted Michael Kohli throughout high school. A 1st place soloist at all competitions, diamond dancer and member of "Click" Gretchen went on to major in dance & has a B.A. from the University of Iowa. She has studied professionally in New York and Chicago as well as judging dance competitions and choreographing for various groups and companies. Gretchen teaches the competition class for the 8 and under group "Performing Vision". Her young competitors learn at an accelerated rate and have received high point awards at every competition attended. Mrs. Steffen now has three young daughters and a son dancing at National Dance Academy adding to the ever growing second generation of National Dance Academy dancers.
